How it comes apart

The body is a rounded box with a 10 mm fillet, so its flat rear face is only 128 × 60 — and the power bank is 135 wide. A flat back panel is geometrically impossible.

So each shell is split at the plane through its corner-sphere centres, where both the outer and inner rounded boxes are at full section and the rim comes out a uniform 3 mm the whole way round. The back panel and face plate are dished caps, not plates.

Body soft at the bottom, near-square on top; head near-square at the bottom, soft over the crown. The two meet on a flat plane, so the head cannot rock.

Assembly order

  1. Power bank in through the rear
  2. Pi tray slides in on the wall ledges, between the screw bosses
  3. Pi onto the tray; then camera, mic, amp
  4. Back panel — tongue into the floor groove first, then 6 × M3
  5. Head onto the body, 4 × M3 down through the floor
  6. Screen onto the face plate; plate on with 5 × M2.5
  7. Ears — M3 from inside the plate — then the ear pads
